For wholesome treat offerings to the trick-or-treaters nothing beats home made goodies. Unfortunately, in the time we live now, not everyone feels comfortable taking unpackaged or home cooked items from strangers. There are extremely few healthy alternatives to candy and very few good, natural candies available in bulk for halloween. It is still worth having some of these snacks in the candy basket that trick-or-treaters pick from. There are other options which although still are processed foods but may be less so than some of the candy. Some snacks also may have less total sugar content than candy.
Avoiding hard, sticky candy is also helpful as these are worse than chocolates for dental health.
